The moving process is finally oveeeer! Well, at least for now. As some of you may know Sidney and I are temporarily staying with some family members. After a month of searching, applying for, and getting rejected by apartments, we decided to stop searching and start restoring, my credit that is. The process of searching for apartments was grueling, but it did have its upside. We ended up finding the perfect community to live in. Of course we were very disappointed when we were not able to get the place we wanted, but it just made us realize what really needed to be done in order to get what we want. We could have easily settled for an place to reside that would eventually lead to us moving in another couple of years, but we were done settling and wanted the next place that we called home to feel like a forever type of place. A forever type of place where we could see Eden growing up and ourselves growing old. Until we found that amazing community no such place existed. First and foremost, we would like to personally thank Disney for creating the animated film called Tarzan. Moving with a toddler was definitely an experience for the books. Having a little person pull on your leg while trying to pack and transport boxes, not a good combination. This movie was on repeat for the span of our three day moving experience. While I was cleaning she was watching and it was awesome! Like all good things, this came to end and our last day of moving became the most challenging of our moving extravaganza. Between doctors appointments, traffic, a crying clingy toddler, and trying to empty out the apartment by a 7pm deadline, things went from bad to worse. It was stressful, voices were raised and attitudes were caught, but in the end we were thankful it was over with. Most of all, we were thankful we had one another to get through this chapter in our lives. We have been in our new living situation for almost a week now and its not that bad. Although the idea of staying in a room in someone elses home was dreadful at first, we have grown to really like and appreciate it. We have been able to spend more time with our family members, especially Eden with her aunts, uncles and grandparents. Its exciting to know that we are on the path to something great. This experience is one that I will never regret because it has brought Sidney and I closer and has made our family stronger. Sometimes in life one need to do what's best for their family regardless of what others may think. Some people will judge and some will relate. Those that relate know that life is not perfect, but just because its not perfect does not mean that cannot be beautiful. In all its imperfections, bumps, bruises, triumphs, and successes, life is beautiful. Enjoy, learn, and grow from it. Make everyday count for something more than the day before and make every moment simple and sweet. |
